Now Posting Code On Blogger The Linux Way

Any type of code can be posted on the blogger using the package
source-highlight which is available in the Debian package dvd.
With the help of source-highlight quite easy to post a code. After installing source-highlight you just need to give the code file as parameter to source-highlight which creates a file.html file from which the html code can be copied and pasted into the blogger. It works fine.

   printf("enter your name\n");

Installing sun-java6-jdk in Debian Lenny

While installing Eclipse for Android Application Development one of problems encountered was the installation of sun-java6-jdk that consumed a considerable amount of time. After a lot of googling, i came across the information that made the installation possible.
Sun-java6-jdk is not available in the Debian repository but it is available in the non-free Debian repository. So first of all edit the

and add the following to the sources.list

deb-src lenny/updates main non-free
deb lenny/updates main non-free
deb-src lenny main non-free
deb lenny main non-free

After adding the above links to the repository ,run

user@home:~$ apt-get update

Now its time to install the sun-java6-jdk so type in

user@home:~$ apt-get install sun-java6-jdk

And now the final step to set the path so that its available system wide

user@home:~$ update-java-alternatives -s java-6-sun
user@home:~$ echo 'JAVA_HOME="/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun"' >> /etc/environment
